Why Our Annual 4th of July Celebration Sparks Our Community Spirit
The best cities don’t hesitate to offer events that engage with the community, bring people together and create opportunity for common ground. And let’s face it, there’s just something especially charming about a hometown 4th of July Parade. Held in Downtown Roseville, our 4th of July Parade is one of the best ways to kick off the holiday...from honoring our community and cheering on local groups and activities, to dressing up in everyone’s favorite red, white, and blue, our parade without a doubt will get you in the holiday spirit. Read on for a few reasons why we love this annual community tradition including information on how you can join the festivities.
The Sense of Unity
Who doesn’t love lining the streets in Downtown Roseville surrounded by your friends and neighbors, dressed as patriotic as possible, and waving American flags on a beautiful summer morning? Roseville’s Annual 4th of July Parade is a wonderful way to celebrate America and our community. This year the parade starts at 9 am at the 4th intersection of Riverside/Vernon/Douglas and heads down Vernon past the Civic Center, turning right on Lincoln Street before finishing on Park Drive. Be sure to get there early to get a spot (parking is free in Downtown Roseville), and bring your chairs and patriotic festive spirit!
The Celebration
The magic of summer is definitely in the air as the 4th of July is all about family too. It’s a day where everyone seems to come together more to celebrate, time slows down, chairs and blankets come out, and people spend time together...not to mention the BBQs, picnic’s and food! Speaking of picnics and family time...you can continue the fun in Downtown Roseville post parade, by heading over in Royer Park for fun family activities such as face painting, music, and food from 10 am-1 pm.
The Patriotic Spirit
One of the best things about the 2019 Roseville 4th of July celebration is that the fireworks are back! Presented by @the Grounds and the City of Roseville, the gates open at 4 pm and entry is free. Enjoy live music, food trucks, concessions, beverages, bounce houses, and kids activities (some items are for purchase) before the festivities. Firework begin at approximately 9:30 pm, and parking is $10.
